Darren H2024-12-03 Review of Superbike Coach Motorcycle Cornering Class - Day Two: I just completed Day Two of the Superbike Coach motorcycle cornering class, and it was nothing short of exceptional! We were fortunate with the weather; the sun came out just in time, creating the perfect backdrop for a day of learning and riding. We started the day by reviewing what we covered on Day One, which helped reinforce our skills. The training was intense but incredibly rewarding, as we delved into important concepts like focus and managing distractions, all while running the course backwards. It was both challenging and fun, especially with the coaches trying to distract us to simulate real-world conditions! Some of the highlights of the session was our exploration of counter-steering, body positioning, and, "Uber steering." Initially, some of the techniques felt a bit awkward, but I trusted my coach and pushed myself to follow his guidance. I really enjoy the process of improving as a rider, and this class has helped me identify unconscious habits that I can now address for a safer and more effective riding style. The day was packed with valuable lessons, from understanding the mechanics of speed to techniques for executing turns, all delivered with the exceptional personality of our coach "Can Akkaya". His enthusiasm made the experience not only educational but also a lot of fun! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my day at the Superbike Coach program. With so many options available, it's clear that this organization stands out for its commitment to rider safety and skill development. I highly recommend the Superbike Coach program to anyone looking to improve their riding skills—it's an incredible investment in your motorcycle journey! Taking the bike from a full left lean transition to full right. If braking won’t do, then tread the needle to stay alive! Looking forward to day 3. 11/3/24 Update Just returned from Thunderhill Raceway that was organized by Superbike Coach. Coach Can went over critical material in between our 20 minutes track session. His team were on the track to monitor safety and showed us the race line like a personal one on one. You can't complaint about the complimentary professional pictures that makes you look like Marc Marquez. If you are looking to get into track or want to safely push your limit, then I recommend joining Superbike Coach track day. I recently got back into motorcycle after a long 20 year break as my kid has not graduated from HS. I decided to treat myself and upgraded to a Ducati supersport and looked for a reputable school that was close to Sacramento area. Superbike Coach had amazing review and the price was very reasonable. I was fortunate to get into a last minute cornering class (part 1 of 3+). The class was taught by coach Can, a true veteran in the racing industry with actual racing experience. He actually had a book publish regarding his time in the Moto racing and won multiple races. It was a no brained for me. If you want to be one of the best (or ride safe and have fun) then you must learn from the Pro like Coach Can and his team. His approach is very different but that’s what makes his class so memorable and interesting. YouTube and book don’t even come close to what he is willing to share during his class. When he said “you better book the next course now” he was not kidding. He is book solid and Lee his class to a minimal student count to ensure you get some one on one time. You will either love him or hate him (in a good way) but I’m the end, he will keep you alive and teach you the “professional” way to ride safe with crazy speed. You think you know the line to select, he will show you a different and better/safer line to pick. I already signed up for part 2 and 3 of the cornering school in addition to other course being offered by Coach Can. I’m confident in Coach Can that I even signed up for his “Wheelie” class with my brand new Ducati! If you are serious about learning how to ride a bike or expending your motorcycle skills, then sign up now before his class are fully booked to 2024! Update repeat course: I repeated day 1 and 2 already and it’s amazing how much more improvement I made. I am much faster now and able to understand a lot more going around again. If you are serious about being safe on the motorcycle, then try at least 1 course and see how much you will get out of it. It’s eye opening. Another 5 stars in my book. Ride safe out there everyone. Update 1/14/2024 Repeated day 3 and again day 1 of cornering school with my Red Ducati. I am amazed at how much improvement I have made since I first started. I was in “C” group way before and now have graduated to “A” group. I feel so much more confident in turns and braking. Repeating is Key. I’m using most of my tire’s edge now and having so much fun on this little track. Don’t hesitate and make the drive/ride to see Coach Can. It’s a life saving experience! Update 6/23/24 Repeated day 3 again. It was well over 100 degrees and Coach was standing out there in the blazing sun to give us individual feedback. He also push himself to perform live demo run despite his recent injury. He is committed to ensure we become safe riders. If you are serious about improving your skill and getting personal feedback, then you must give Coach Can a try. You won’t find a better value from a pro rider willing to share his knowledge. I still remember the first day when I was in C group (white Ducati). I kid you not, I have now moved to “A” group (red Ducati) and able to keep up with some of them. My riding skill has improve by 200% and I still got a lot to learn. I’m using my body efficiently and reducing lean angle (safer) at right speed! Mindaugas Satas2024-11-27 Day 1 class for me was highly informative, Coach Can answered all my questions, got great advice that improved my riding and self confidence in handling the bike while taking corners and overall. Signed up and looking forward to Day 2 class! Federico Aquino2024-11-24 Superbike Coach is the best for riders. They will teach you to be a better, safer and faster rider. It will safe your life. You will love your bike more and your bike will love you more. Listen to coach and the SBC Crew! Practice the drills. You will be so happy and smiling. Take it to the next level and sign up, they will take care of you. It’s a great experience. Coach has a lot of experience, has been there and done that, listen to him so that you can grow as a rider. Connect with the coach. It will help you connect more with your riding. You won’t find a better training!!! T Y2024-11-24 Just attended cornering day 1. Learned from coach Can and other facilities more than I expected. Cleared a lot of confusion I had in mind. Going for day 2&3. Henry Marsden2024-11-24 I like Coach's direct style of training to the class sharing his on track GP racing experience in Europe and motorcycle techniques on the track. We did not get overwhelmed with information in day 1 cornering class and spent plenty of time on the track to practice what we learned in the classroom. Each time our group went onto the track, you could really see the riders improvement and confidence. See you at day 2 & 3 cornering class. Cheers- Alvin Yates2024-11-19 Been to the first Corning School class as well as the suspension workshop. Coach Can and the rest of the team at SBC are absolutely amazing at what they do and make sure that the time we get is focused, well-spent, and accommodating for anyone who is motivated enough to be there. Little 99 is an amazing teaching venue and they make use of the space well. Incredible value for money, and an absolutely essential set of classes available for anyone who really wants to better understand both their motorcycle and riding alike. Speaking as a casual rider and commuter, nothing in the class has ever felt like it didn't apply to how I ride. Just do the class already. Rachel Garvin2024-11-19 Cornering class day 1 was amazing! Practical, no-BS information, lots of riding time and one on one with coaches. Learning the how and why to cornering approaches and then being able to practice them was key in changing how I ride. I could feel my confidence and skills improving with every track session. Can't wait to day cornering day 2! Eric Vonurff2024-11-19 I came into this class not quite knowing what to expect. I was greeted in the morning by a helpful staff. After that we had some class room time and explaining of different techniques regarding how to approach corners. There was a fair amount of Humor, along with some serious discussion. Coach was helpful and caring when I had multiple one on one questions. Some things in class I had already known and also learned many good things. I greatly appreciated the ability to have multiple laps on the track to practice repetition in the turns. I would recommend the course I do feel more confident through the turns with more speed. Eric V. David Abrahams2024-11-19 I just complete 1st cornering day…..Very welcoming family of coaches…..highly recommend this class ! It has total change my level of riding for safety and performance. Honestly it should cost twice as much …but don’t tell coach!Load more
