Last Sunday, 30 students graduated from cornering school. Can’t put in words what it means to me to have the trust, eager, love and respect from all these people- including my own flesh n’ blood, Jill. Ones more, Dean Lonskey Photography took all these special moments and helps memorizing them. This is my favorite shot of his series. But it’s not just that… all these people let us become part of their lives, and so they become part of ours. My motto… the more we know you as a person- the more we can help you as a rider. I want o finish this off by pointing out to a google review from Darren. Take your time reading it:
The morning started with a comprehensive review of the previous classes, which was not only informative but also set the tone for the day ahead. One of the things I love about the coach is his unique tactics to keep us humble. He has the freedom to say whatever he wants, and he does it in a way that keeps everyone engaged and laughing. Yet, when it’s time to get serious, he knows how to drive home the important points effectively.
As I hit the track for the first time, I felt a bit rusty. The coach noticed this right away and pulled me aside to point out that I was overriding the track. At that moment, I realized I might have been having an off day, but I committed myself to focus on the education being offered. I slowed down, cleaned up my riding technique, and concentrated on what the coach was teaching.
The training was intense. I walked away filled with new riding tactics that we practiced throughout the session. However, as the afternoon rolled in, fatigue from a restless night at a Stockton hotel began to set in. I had spent more time watching my motorcycle than actually sleeping! my alarm on my truck got triggered three times. Recognizing I needed to take it a little easier, I focused even more on the lessons.
While I would have liked to perform better personally, the support from the entire Superbike Coach staff was nothing short of amazing. Their encouragement kept me motivated. Plus, my graduating from the cornering class provides me with a discount for future sessions, which is a fantastic bonus! I’m eagerly looking forward to repeating Day 3. I will be doing the thunder Hill west track day, wheelie class, and much more with Superbike Coach.
I wholeheartedly recommend this class to any motorcycle rider. The coach is genuinely dedicated to training us to save our own lives on the road. I have immense love and respect for Coach Can, Dean, Nick, and Marion. Their commitment to keeping riders safe is truly astonishing.
Can’t wait to return! Darren”
