The itinerary was well-planned with a sign-in, intro talk, demonstration, doing rounds on the straightaway’s with your bike and then with the wheelie bike + bar with coaching in between–lunch time included.
I was always looking at YouTube videos, and how to’s, asking my friends on how to do it. However, nothing compares to this experience where you are in a controlled environment with experienced people who know how to teach you the right techniques.
I was only able to get my ’06 S2R to pop up a few times, but once I got on the wheelie bike, I easily wheelie’d every time I wanted to do it. The bar setup really helped with my self-confidence, and finding the right point for the torque was a HELLUVA lot of fun!
The coaches are super attentive, helpful, and chill. Coach Can’s got such a snarky sense of humor that it’s worth going to the class just to rub elbows with him in person.
There’s a thang I can’t change for now and I’ve got to deal with… and this is the existing size of your balls!
The wheelie bike is actually an AMA spec 450 Supermotard with a wheelie bar attached so no looping at all and can be adjusted as you progress. Since we were all beginners we learn using the throttle to get our bikes up and believe me it works
